Discus and support Windows 10 Installation/Repair/Update problems - help please in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; Toshiba- no problems.     Windows 10 Installation/Repair/Update problems - help please


    Toshiba- no problems. Seem to be quite a few reports related to Seagate and WD here- at least that's my impression. As to why...??

    Thanks dalchina.

    I've never had a Toshiba HDD go south on me.

    A couple of IBM Travelstars (or their HGST equivalents) and now a WD Black.

    Never had a problem with WD Blue drives.

    Have ordered a WD Blue for my poorly DELL laptop.

    Incidentally, my daughter's netbook (with a 320GB HGST HDD) has also gone south, so I have bought her a Toshiba 500GB HDD and will either put Win 10 back on that or turn it into a Chromebook.

    The Backblaze reports are the definitive source for disk reliability info. They run tens of thousands of disks for billions of usage hours, because their business is serving the cloud. Check the May 2016 report out for a good comparison of most major brands. If I believe any third party for this kind of stuff, these guys are included (I'm also partial to Tom's Hardware).
