    Windows 10 installation "we can't tell if your PC has enough space to continue installing....


    Judging by the number of times this issue has been raised over the past 5 years, there does not appear to be a simple resolution. I have tried to install windows 10 multiple times today, and right at the final hurdle, I get the above message. I have only used 245GB of space, and have 674GB free on my desktop. i have done all the "General Fixes"; unplugged all attached devices, temporarily disabled my antivirus, completed every upgrade there is, restarted my computer multiple times, and still no success. I have Windows 7 premium, and have not wanted to upgrade to 10 as we have it at work, and it is painful at the best of times. I am not a computer literate when it comes to the hardware and operating system/software, so really need a simple fix, although would prefer to stay on 7 if I can. Thanks

    Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

    I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
