Windows 10: Windows 10: Intel i5 gen.2 video, no sound with DisplayPort

Desktop connected to monitor with built-in speakers. The latest video driver v9.17.10.4459 for i5-2400 Intel HD graphic is installed via windows updates. The device manager shows two "High Definition Audio Divice" under "Sound, video and game controllers". There are no errors, but DisplayPort audio device is gray and "not plugged in" in "Sound"->"Playback" window. The second audio divice is available and has sound. If I uninstall the video driver, the DisplayPort audio device is available and plays sound, but resolution is low. If I click windows update - I get back latest driver, 1080p res

Windows 10 unstable in dual screen setup displayport + hdmi

I just changed my system from an intel i5 2500k to an amd r5 1600 and with almost the same hardware (only changed cpu, motherboard, ram and switched to a m2 ssd as windows drive) and windows version (freshly
resinstalled) windows crashes when I turn my displayport screen on again in dual screen setup with an hdmi screen.

System Configuration:

Motherboard: MSI X370 gaming pro carbon

BIOS: 7A32v17 (AGESA 1.0.0.6)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600

Memory: 16GB DDR4 3200 (G-Skill F4-3200C16D-16GVKB)

GPU: MSI RX 480 gaming x 8GB

VBIOS: 015.050.000.000

GPU Driver: 17.7.1

OS: Windows 10 Pro N x64 (15063.483)

Steps to Reproduce:

• 
  Plug into gpu ports: BenQ XL2730Z @ displayport, Philips 273P3LPHES @ hdmi
  
• 
  turn on pc and displays, wait for windows login
  
• 
  turn off displayport display
  
• 
  turn on displayport display
  
• 
  what now happens: displayport display stays black (no signal), hdmi display turns black (no signal), pc unresponsive
  
• 
  after 10 - 20 seconds pc reboots automatically
  

Expected Behavior:

displayport display should turn on normally without crashing the pc in dual screen setup

Actual Behavior:

displayport display causes crash when turned on again

Additional Observations:

Turning the hdmi monitor off and on does not crash windows even if displayport display is plugged in.

Unplugging the hdmi monitor and turning the displayport monitor off and on does not crash windows.

I used the exact same hardware and drivers before with an Intel i5-2500k and an Asrock Extreme 3 gen 3 without these issues. Windows and drivers were completely reinstalled though after switching to Ryzen.

Install Windows 10 Pro 32bit on Intel i5 10 gen with Gigabyte H510M-DS2 Motherboard

I can't seem to install Windows 10 Pro 32bit on my PC with Intel Core i5 10th gen with a motherboard of Gigabyte H510M-DS2, i need the 32bit OS because of 16bit MSDOS program that I use. Last year, I can successfully install a Windows 10 32bit on an Intel i3 9th gen.

 

Should I buy Intel i3 10th Gen with 256GB SSD/ Intel i5 10th Gen with 1 TB HDD?

For basic editing and browser the Intel i3 10th Gen with 256GB SSD will suffice, however if your budget can buy the Intel i5 10th Gen with 1 TB HDD you can go with the i5 for much faster processing especially when editing with a higher storage where you can keep or store your files.
