    Windows 10 Intel wireless N 7260 problem


    I have a Dell Inspiron 15R 5537 with Intel wireless N 7260 network adapter.

    Few weeks ago my wifi was working perfectly but after some updates, it has stopped detecting nearby wifi. It is able to detect wifi when i am in a very close range like a few steps away but cannot detect the wifi signal when i am in the next room. It used to connect in that room earlier but now it won't show in the available network list.

    It is causing a lot of problems. I have tried Troubleshooting and uninstalling and then reinstalling the driver but nothing seems to work.

    Please check here. According to official documentation:

    System requirements for Intel® WiDi     - the Intel® HD Graphics 4600 is compatible with Windows® 10. Please take into consideration that
    Intel® Pro WiDi requires specific hardware to work properly and one of the following wireless adapter is required:

    o Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160

    o Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260

    o Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N 7260

    o Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265

    o Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N 7265



    Unfortunately, the Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230 is not included on the list of wireless adapters that supports
    Intel® Pro

    The best first step would be to go to the Sony website, then from there find the support page for your device, then download and install the device driver for that Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260, then restart your device and then go to Settings - Update and
    Security - Troubleshoot to run the Bluetooth Troubleshooter . . .
