  1. Windows 10 KB4560366 Update

I have an HP laptop I use for video conferencing. I am running Win 10 Pro x64.

I typically load updates when they become available.
The latest updates for the operating system cause a BSOD when the computer tries to use the camera.

Apparently Win 10 no longer supports drivers for my camera. I tried installing the most up-to-date drivers for it. I tried uninstalling it and letting the operating system find the best driver. It found something, so the camera is visible on the device manager, but did not work.

I uninstalled updates in the reverse order of their installation, trying to connect to video each time.
KB 4560366 will not uninstall. I cannot use my laptop for video conferencing at this time. It still dies with the BSOD.

What can I do to get my camera working again?

    :)

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
