Windows 10: Windows 10 KB4579311 fails to install and causes other issues

Yesterday night my HP desktop window 10 pro updates installed KB 4579311, KB4571756,KB4578968 but i have not update an restart and next morning again i have not update and restart On require i always shut down or restart. Now after few hours continuous work my system suddenly hang and blue screen notice saying your device ran into a problem and needs to restart 100 % completed . After few second its restart itself. And this time showing fail to install i have doubt with updates so i have checked its showing failed to installed KB 4579311. Also check update have notification error 0xe0000100.


i continue work and again after 2- 3 hrs same thing repeat system was hanging an same blue screen notice saying your device ran into a problem and needs to restart 100 % completed . After few second its restart itself.


But this time hang long on restart notification its not restart itself. so i have main power off. An re- power on the screen showing cursor....and key board' key light of caps lock and scroll key continuous vibrating.

Again i have power off. Same action i have repeated this time windows boot manager notification . window failed to start a recent hardware software error. Error status : 0xc0000185. it's advising to insert your installation disc an restart.


so now windows not able to boot. at urgent i have not installation disc.

so i have tried again power off and continuous press F8 but as before key board' key light of caps lock and scroll key continuous vibrating. i have press F9 this time no response press ES an suddenly window appear please select boot devices. And from options i have chosen ESC to boot using defaults.


so after black screen window logo appear and its start. so first i have taken backup of important urgent files back up. an check from start window the window update settings, history but actualy now i can not see window functioning on clicking.


before this incident on winver command its showing version 2004 OS Build 19041.508

now winver command nothing appear.


How i can take back recent installed window version an smooth function.

i m not tech person but this window update action an my reaction make whole day struggle. kindly advised next action.

Ver: 2004 x64

Installed: 19.06.20.

OS Build: 19041.450

Password not accepted after KB4579311 update, having tried the following basics six times:-

Double checked correct PW

Entered PW with Virtual screen keyboard

Check Virtual keyboard was UK setting

Changing PW in safe internet mode

PW reset using USB

All my above attempts failed while using KB4579311 update.

Returned system to previous operating system prior to KB4579311 update computer accepts my PW and works all OK. Have paused win 10 updates for one month as it appears KB4579311 update is causing the issue.

Having read previous MRDBeta work around reply post.

KB4579311 is sitting in my Local Disk, Windows, SoftwareDistribution, Download folder. Is it worth me deleting KB4579311 and try to install the patches or through Windows 10
updates again?

OR

Wait for a confirmed work around or update from MS as I need my computer for work and I'm not a computer expert?

New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
