Windows 10: Windows 10 keeps deleting all my downloads from the download folder

Hi, Windows 10 keeps deleting all my downloads from the download folder when I do not want them to be deleted. Storage sense is turned off and there is no low storage issue there is plenty of space on my hard drives

Un reserve it in the windows app it should not re download then, although you probably have the folders there still but no win10 downloaded.

Might have to delete it the 1st time around but it worked for me and it's never re downloaded it.

To stop the download, uninstall the KB3035583 update (under "Control Panel > Windows Update > Installed Updates").


To get rid of the C:\$Windows.~BT folder:

• Right-click on your C: drive.
• Select "Properties".
• Click on [ Disk Cleanup ]
• After the initial scan: If you have a [ Clean up system files ] button, click it and wait for the second scan to finish.
• Scroll down the list and look for "Temporary Windows installation files" (its size should be in the gigabytes range); check the box.
• Click on [ OK ] to start the clean-up.
