Windows 10: Windows 10 language not changing completely

Hello,


My Windows 10 had to be reinstalled because of a Hardware issue, and the person who came with the DVD, installed a Norwegian version of windows Default language: Norsk.

After I received the Laptop, I started to change the language to English, but after a few hours of tries, I was unable to completely change it to the language I desire.


I have followed the instructions present here but it does not seem to be enough. Even though most of my interface is in English, there are some parts in Norwegian:

• Audio Devices DropDown
• Microsoft Store
• Messages on the Sign in Screen not the system messages, but the ones that come with new background photos
• LogIn With Facebook, Google Pop-up
• And there might be some more places I did not reach yet.

What is the correct way to completely change it?

The fact that I have 2 main languages worries me. It does not look normal so something has to be broken. I want to avoid the situation in which the system breaks because of this...

Windows 8.1 update changed the language, can't change back

Maybe, these will help... it seems it is a common enough problem.

Language packs are no longer available after you upgrade to Windows 8.1

Change your Windows display language

• Tap or click Set as primary to move the language to the top of the list. If the language can become your Windows display language, you'll see Will be display language after next sign-in appear under the language.

I realize the inconvenience you are facing with language settings.

To assist you better, please provide the information:

• 
  What is the make and model of the wireless keyboard?
  
• 
  Is the keyboard layout changed or the complete Windows interface is changed to Arabic?
  
• 
  Are you able to login to the computer?
  
• 
  Have you installed Windows 10 with single language edition?
  

To confirm, if it is single language edition you have to reinstall the Operating System or if it is multiple language you have to download the language pack of your choice and make it as default.

If only the wireless keyboard layout has changed then, I suggest you to add a keyboard layout in Windows 10 from the below steps:

• 
  Type settings in the search bar and press enter.
  
• 
  Go to Time & language.
  
• 
  Click on Region & language.
  
• 
  Choose the language you wish to add as keyboard layout.
  
• 
  Click on Options.
  
• 
  Click on Add a keyboard.
  
• 
  Select the keyboard layout you want to add.
  
• 
  Restart your computer.

unable to change the language of UI

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

To assist you better I would like to know, what was the base language for your previous Operating system?



I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Remove the Existing language.

  Press Windows + X on your keyboard.
  
• 
  Select Control panel.
  
• 
  Select language.
  
• 
  Click on the Option adjacent to the
  Existing language.
  
• 
  Click on remove under input method.
  

Step 2: Add English Language.

• 
  Press Windows + X on your keyboard.
  
• 
  Select Control panel.
  
• 
  Select language.
  
• 
  Click on Add language.
  
• 
  Add the English language from the given list.
