Windows 10: Windows 10 latest update results in ALARM every time I open Notifications

I performed my standard/forced 6-week update yesterday Jul-10-2020...

BTW.... I did not upgrade to 2004 because I have heard of a bunch of bugs that I want ironed out before I upgrade, and have no intention to do so until those reported bugs are fixed.


Here is the problem... now whenever I open the Notifications button in the lower right of my screen extreme right of my task bar, I get my alarm blaring out. I do have some standing daily alarms running, but none are active in Notifications. I have since turned off all my standing alarms and the alarm still blares out when I open Notifications on the task bar.


Before it is suggested, there are NO UNACKNOWLEDGED NOTIFICATIONS especially alarms in the Notification window. I cleared them all and the alarm still blares out every time I open it.

Windows 10, alarm and notification problem

Every time i open my notifications the alarm sounds up, with no notification to stop it whatsoever. Only when i close the notification bar, the alarm subsides. Kindly help in resolving this.

Follow these steps to check if it works:

Step 1: Open the Windows Settings menu by pressing the Windows Key and “I,” or alternatively search for Settings in the Windows search bar and click the corresponding result.

Step 2: Click Notifications & Actions in the left-hand menu. This will take you to a screen providing access to all of the settings related to notifications and the Action Center.

Step 3: Click the System icon, then select Notifications and actions from the left-hand menu.

Step 4: Look for the Notifications subheading, where you will see a number of toggles for various types of notifications. The following is a list of the settings you can toggle on this screen:

• Get notifications from apps and other senders
• Show notifications on the lock screen
• Show alarms, reminders, and incoming VoIP calls on the lock screen
• Hide notifications when duplicating my screen
• Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows

You may just turn them off the notification as you need.

 

Windows 10 Alarm

Hi Marc,

To address your concern, we suggest that you synchronize the system clock with an internet time server in Windows 10. To do that, follow these steps:

• Open the Control Panel, and click on the Date and Time icon.
• Click/on the Internet Time tab, and click on the Change settings
  button. If prompted by UAC, click on Yes.
• Check the Synchronize with an Internet time server box, select a time server, and click on
  Update now. If an error occurred, click on Update now again to see if it may successfully synchronize. When the clock is successfully synchronized, click on
  OK.
• Click on OK.
• Go to Alarm & Clock app and test the alarm.
