Windows 10: Windows 10 Licence

So I have a windows laptop that I have been using for around seven years now and I am going to be replacing it with a pc in a couple of months. It came with windows 8.1 and I used the free upgrade to get windows 10. Now I won't be using the computer anymore once build my new pc and I was wondering if their is a way to use the windows 10 license from the laptop and use it on the pc instead? My first thought was that I could just take the old hard drive form the laptop and install it in the pc but it sounds like that won't work so does anyone have any ideas?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
