Windows 10: Windows 10 License Will Expire Soon

Hi all,


In the last few days my pc keeps telling me that my license will expire soon.


My Windows 10 Pro was a free upgrade from Win7 Pro, this upgrade was done pretty much as soon as Windows 10 was available. Nothing has changed hardware wise in quite a while and software wise only Windows updates. I'm using the Insider builds.


The Activation window states :-

Windows

Edition Windows 10 Pro

Activation Windows is activated using your organisation's activation service


I have tried everything I can find online :-

1. Activation troubleshooter - cannot see this as Windows 10 is activated
2. Find product key through CMD - gives error
   1. C:\WINDOWS\system32>wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey
      ERROR:
      Description = Invalid provider registration
3. Find product key using PowerShell - gives error
   1. PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> powershell "(Get-WmiObject -query 'select * from SoftwareLicensingService').OA3xOriginalProductKey"
      Get-WmiObject : Invalid query "select * from SoftwareLicensingService"

4. Find product key using VB script - finds and reports key
   1. Enter this key in to 'Change product key' in the activation settings - gives error
   2. The product key that you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one. (0x80041023)
5. CMD "slmgr –rearm" hasn't worked
6. Checking which version - CMD "slmgr.vbs /dlv" - gives error
   1. "Error. 0x80041017 On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0x80041017' to display error text.
   2. Running "slui.exe 0x2a 0x80041017" gives an activation error Code: 0x80041017 with Description: Invalid query

I think that's pretty much everything, what can I do to solve this issue and why is it happening?

Windows license will expire soon


​Hi all

I have recently factory restored my hp envy windows 10. Now i have this message "WINDOWS LICENSE WILL EXPIRE SOON". Im not sure if this is important but i have sent in my hp envy for warranty repairs on the hard disk drive. I bought my hp with windows 10 home edition, but when I sent it in for repairs it came back with windows 10 pro. Any suggestions
