Windows 10: Windows 10 Limited access/ No internet connection

i uninstall some last windows 10 updates and restart system...
and internet fixed...
i uninstall my lost month (December) updates and i don't know witch update or updates was Problematic..

 

Thanks, just done it but still the same problem. I dont kno what else to do but reinstall windows.

It was a fresh win10 install, no upgrades whatsoever.

 

Hi guys.
I really need your help.
So I upgraded to Windows 10 a few months back and I had problems with sound, menus etc that I was able to solve with some research. This time my problem seems to be similar to some of yours. Well, every 15/30 min my internet appears with the yellow sign of "limited access", thing is it's only in this laptop (HP). Sometimes the internet goes down completely and it says it can't find any wi-fi.
What I tried to do was:
Update drivers.
Reset modem.
Check the Roaming sensibility and put it on High.

Nothing seems to work.
I don't have bitdefender and I installed AVG after this problem turned up. Is there any Windows firewall option I should disable?
My solution for now is closing the laptop, open it up again and the net eventually comes up again...but to play it's not good at all.
Any more tips?

UPDATE: just noticed that everytime my internet goes down the "Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter" get a yellow sign too!

Any help would be appreciated!

 

my fix for windows 10 is to go to Network then at the top it had a yellow bar with black text at the top i clicked on it then clicked "No" make the network i am connected to a private network then bam my internet was fixed hope this helped*Biggrin

 

go to network clcik on the yellow bar with black text and click on "No make my network a private network" it helped me

you don't really need ANY third party A/V products any more --the basic built in security in W10 is far superior to anything in W7 with or without 3rd party products.

These days most problems with security are of a USER type (getting scammed by replying to email links, giving too much info out on Social Media sites etc etc). Most 3rd party AV systems on W10 are a total irrelevance and either slow the system down considerably or even break it.

If you use torrents for downloading music / films you won't get any viruses if you ensure the files are mp3/mp4/mkv/flac or whatever the native multimedia file is -- then anything embedded can't run as there's no way to execute it -- the music / video player will see it as a corrupt file and won't touch it. Avoid .EXE, .MSI, .ZIP, .RAR files from torrents at all times and refuse all 3rd party installers.

(.EXE are fine from approved and safe torrent providers - such as some Linux distros --CENTOS and OPENSUSE for example and are usually far faster for download than from a "Mirror server" or direct download - so torrents aren't by any means all illegal stuff),

I changed a power supply and then did a restore point. Before I did the wifi was working, now it is not.

Connect with netgear usb wifi adapter
It is for phone Hotspot

It keeps saying connected but no internet.
Reading through this, I saw one post about protocols both 4 and 6 are on. However when load status both say no network access.

It says unidentified network, not sure if that matter, but I can't find where to change to home network in 10.

Can provide more information on request.

I typically don't post but this thread was helpful in diagnosing my connection issue.
IE and Chrome have been slowly degrading over the last 6 months.
Hanging, timing out, crashing, etc.
It finally got to the point where I would have connectivety for a couple hours then internet browsers would just spin.
Some desktop apps functioned and other did not, then they rotated.
First fix was running Norton.
Worked for a while but still spotty internet browser function.
Later that did not work and had to run registry compactor.
That finally stopped correcting and then I tried reseting IE11 browser settings to default and rebooting.
Worked somewhat but still bricked by end of day.
Found your folks and an the common thread was the NIC.
Checked my drivers and it said GTG.
Went to vender website and forced an update.
So far back to normal OPS.

The browser addons were the most affected intially.
I had to keep disabling to keep IE and Chrome functioning.
Chrome flash or what ever was constently crashing.

 

I recently installed Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4015438) and it completely blocked ALL of the internet traffic on two of my computers. It appears that there was an error that caused Windows Firewall to engage and block all of my traffic.

I use Norton Security v 22.9.1.12 as my firewall provider, so I was very confused. Somehow the latest Windows update turned on Windows Firewall without my knowledge and boom. I completely re-baselined the desktop which is new and has fairly little use. This was not an appropriate solution for my work laptop, which has a LOT of important data on it. I found the forum here, and after a bit of searching noticed that Windows Firewall had snuck in behind me and blocked everything. As soon as I disabled Windows Firewall my traffic was able to begin again.

Microsoft, you have finally done it. My next computer will be a Mac....been dealing with this crap for 20 years and I'm finally sick of it.

 

I just using Windows 10 for the first time, with pen PC (kind like of mini PC), and I think I have the same problems with you guys.
My 2 routers (Huawei and TP-Link) just have Limited Connection in my Windows 10. Pathetically, when I use internet connection by tethering it with my phone (iPhone), it works !

Still have no clue for this..
