Windows 10: Windows 10 Locks after 9 minutes and setting cannot be changed

I have an extraordinarily maddening issue. No matter what I change in power schemes, lock screen settings, modern or control panel settings I am unable to make a lasting change that will prevent this users computer from locking every 10 minutes. At this point it is faster to tell you to search "unable to change time to screen lock" and assume I have tried everything including SFC so don't even suggest it! in the first 30 articles that come up. What we have found is if we change the following registry entry;HKCU\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop\SreenSaveTimeOut from i

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Lock Screen keeps changing

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Windows Spotlight picks the photos from Bing and displays them in the lock screen. I understand that you have set a picture and it is getting changed automatically.

I suggest you to follow the steps to select the Picture that you want to be displayed on the lock screen. Please follow the steps mentioned below to set a Picture to lock screen:

1. Press and hold Windows + I key on the keyboard to open settings.
   
2. Click on Personalization.
   
3. Click on Lock screen.
   
4. Click on the drop down under Background and select
   Picture.
   
5. Click on Browse and select the picture that you want to set.

Windows 10 Creators Update - lock screen timeout

Before the Creator's update, I had my desktop set to turn off the display and lock the screen after 10 minutes. Now the display turns off, but the screen is not locked. I tried the suggestion:

• Press Windows key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type these commands and press Enter afterwards:
  • powercfg.exe /SETACVALUEINDEX SCHEME_CURRENT SUB_VIDEO VIDEOCONLOCK 60
    
  • powercfg.exe /SETACTIVE SCHEME_CURRENT
• Note that the 60 is the number of seconds your prefer.
• Exit Command Prompt and lock your screen. Observe if the changes will take effect.

This does not lock the screen on my system. I rebooted after I made the change. I did change the time from 60 to 600.
