Windows 10: Windows 10 locks up during reboot

Suddenly Windows stopped booting.

BIOS config looks good and the computer can boot from a Linux DVD and a Windows Recovery Flash drive. But when i boot from the HD it gets a just a minute in and goes dark. No video signal to the monitor.

I booted from the Recovery Flash drive and did a complete Windows reset. Seem to install fine. Booted up and let me setup my account and download my favorite apps.

Rebooted it and the same problem came back. Machine seems to lock and up drop the video signal about a minute into reboot.

How can Windows still be f'ed up after I did a compete reset?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
