Windows 10: windows 10 logo button not working keyboard key

After last update the button on my keyboard that shows the Windows' logo stopped working. How fix?


It is the keyboard button you push when you are gaming and want out of a game to return to desktop. It also has a lot of other functions like if you hold the win button down and a the same time click the print screen button on a keyboard you get a snapshot of your desktop.


This is the button I am talking about. It has stopped doing it's thing. Now if I click it or hold it down nothing happens. Everything else works perfectly. My keyboard functions no faults there.

Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:

Keyboard Volume Keys not working while in-game

I happen to have used the Tt Challenger Pro keyboard in the past, and the volume keys worked flawlessly in every game, so it's indeed a weird problem. I would suggest the same thing sneekypeet suggested, using the keyboard software and assign this function to a hotkey, but you said that didn't work either, so yeah...

 

Equals Key Wont Work

We suggest that you update the keyboard driver. You may follow the steps below:

• Press Windows logo + X key on the keyboard.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboards.
• Click on the driver and click on Update Driver Software.
• Click on Next and follow the steps in the wizard that appears.
