Windows 10: Windows 10 - Mail and Caledar app would not fetch the Holiday Calendar

Hello guys, didn't manage to find a solution online yet, thought i would try my luck here.

So, i have tried to uninstall and install. Reset the app to no avail. My situation is similar to the link below except after i reinstalled, the issue remained.

Its a surface pro 7 that i just bought 3 days ago. Everything is working fine in the app until i realized i cannot add the holiday calendar in. It would just pop up 'couldn't fetch the holiday calendar' after i clicked on the country, i tried different country too.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

How to add a list of National / Public Holidays to the Calendar App if the country is not listed?

I'm Jin, a fellow Windows 10 user and an independent advisor. I can see that your country isn't listed in the Calendar app when adding a Holiday Calendar.

As the country isn't listed, I could only recommend that you manually enter the Holidays as an entry in the Calendar app. I also suggest that you send a feedback on the app's Settings > Feedback regarding the availability of your country.

If you also have a Gmail account, I recommend that you set it up in your Mail app. As the your calendars in Google account will show up in the Calendar app.
