Windows 10: Windows 10 mail does not decode some email

I have at least one sender whose emails are just HTML code in the reading pane. If I go to the webmail of my email host, the message is displayed properly. I also have a weekly email from Flightaware that is nothing in the reading pane but: 'Download message and pictures size'. Many times emails from various companies are displayed much to large in the reading pane. The fact that my email host is Yahoo may be a clue, since I understand that they are resisting 3rd mail clients due to a loss of add revenue. Weird that it's consistently the same senders that are implicated though.


Are they EVER going to make the mail app work properly? I know it takes time, but win 10 has been out in the wild for over 5 years now. Heck, it took 3 years for us to get HTML sigs. Microsoft keeps trying to push Edge down our throats, but I'm not budging until the stuff I do use and need actually works. Thanks for any help

Email PDF attachments not showing up on my Windows 10 Mail platform???

• With which Email account you're facing this issue?
• What is the file format of those attachments?
• Did you tried accessing the account on Web browser?

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted mail app settings. As an initial troubleshooting, I suggest you to try the below steps and check if this helps.

I suggest you to Run the App Troubleshooter -This tool can automatically identify and fix some problems with the
Windows Store and check if that helps.

If the issue still persists, try the below steps.

Change the Sync Settings in the Mail App and check.

• On Search, click on “Mail” to open the Mail App.
• Click on “Settings”.
• Click on “Accounts”.
• Click on your email account from the list of accounts.
• Select the option “Email” under the section “Change mail box Sync settings”.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
