  4. Windows 10: Making Deployment Easier

In place upgrades, with each individual PC downloading the upgrade, doesn't make deployment easier.

MS assumes that everyone is paying at least a 50Mbps internet connection. They should do a test of in-place upgrade outside their facilities to see how effective it is. Personally, I don't have any problem with it. I am speaking for the majority who do not have access to high speed internet.

  6. I didn't take this article as stipulating the in place upgrade process as being a download type process. What I actual do is install windows from the ISO while windows is running. From there you have to option to upgrade install, which can delete all personal settings or keep intact the programs and settings that aren't included in the ISO image. The prior is really nice and seams to work like refresh image in Windows 8. It respects encryption and. Windows 7 has the ability to upgrade install from the ISO too. I think this is what they meant.

Just build one image using WAIK tools is what I do and duplicate the image on multiple USB thumb drives and run the upgrade install from the ISO image, no downloading upgrades.
