  1. Windows 10 "Making sure it's you" completely broken

I am trying to fix the my phone app to use it with my galaxy note 10+, but it tells me that my microsoft account needs attention. And so I did, went into shared experiences and clicked on fix now. The "Making sure it's you" box popped up, asking me for my login PIN. I enter it, and it just pops back right away. Clicking use a different method does the same, so does the cancel and X buttons ! which forces me to close the entire window from the task bar. It also happens everywhere the "Making sure it's you screen" is present, for example clicking verify on the your info page. This is ridiculous. Could be caused by the fact that I am running on build 19035 which is a preview build but several updates hadn't fixed this problem yet. Please, any fix would be appreciated.

    :)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Windows 10 "Making sure it's you" completely broken :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.
