Windows 10: Windows 10 messes up my fullscreen apps

Hello,

I don't know what keywords to use to search this on the internet, so i'll ask here if maybe someone knows. Since today, on SOME video files and SOME games (but not all), i have the following behaviours :

• For VLC, when i put it in fullscreen, i have the frozen first image on the screen on which VLC was, and the movie fullscreen goes to the other screen (only mkv so far, but not all)
• For games, some of them launch, and then go to the other screen, and when i try to click on something, it then goes back to the first screen, and so on, and nothing really seems to work whenever i click

What is the problem here ? I have tried every parameters i could think of, but nothing...

This should be enough to get the conspiracy theorists suggesting that Microsoft is intentionally crippling multi-monitor support in fullscreen mode since games sold on the Microsoft Store all work in the pseudo-fullscreen mode...

Or it could just be an idiotic bug that will be fixed in time.

 

Automatically moving a fullscreen window onto a new desktop

Hi Joel,

In Windows 10, there is an option to open an app in a fullscreen view. This way, it will be possible for you to make the fullscreen window move to a new desktop. Follow these steps to do so.

• Right click on the application.
• Select Properties.
• Click on the Shortcut tab.
• Beside the Run option, click on the drop-down menu and then choose Maximized.
  
• Click on Apply button and then click OK.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
