Windows 10: Windows 10 Mobile Store prompting to upgrade to a newer version of Windows 10

Hey!


So, I opened the Microsoft Store on my Lumia 950 this morning and found a banner listing at the top of the app (suggested apps slider) that read "Update your PC by October 9, 2018). My phone is running the latest production build of 1709. Clicking on the listing redirects me to the Microsoft.com page that helps users update their version of Windows (on the PC, obviously).


However, I know that Windows 10 ver 1703 reaches its end of support on October 9, 2018. Ignoring the identity crisis of the phone thinking it's a PC, just wanted to know if this a thing that shows up for users on the PC running 1703 as well?

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
