Windows 10: Windows 10 Mouse cursor stuck in center of screen

Earlier tonight I pulled an old laptop out of my storage and was going to set it up for a person that cannot afford to purchase any laptop. The laptop is rather old and does have Win10 installed. I've booted the system, this process was slow but it may be the age of the laptop and the load Win10 is placing on it. In that the laptop was in storage for at least two years, I have no idea what the state was when it was last used. I did notice that some updates seemed to be applied and I think they were windows updates. If I press the CTRL key it does identify that the cursor is in the center of the screen but I cannot see the cursor nor can I move the cursor with the laptop touchpad. Navigating to do anything is rather difficult. The keyboard does respond and pressing the Windows key I can bring up the start menu. I've tried two different Logitech mouse and neither will respond. I've also installed the Logitech Unifying software, still, neither mouse will work as well as the touchpad. I just connected a USB wired mouse and it is working. I would like to get a wireless mouse working on the laptop. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Mouse cursor stuck in center of screen

My mouse cursor suddenly froze in the corner of my screen after closing a game, i restarted my computer and ive also googled alot and reinstalled drivers and so far nothing has worked im using a m65 pro corsair mouse and i cant buy a new one so thats a
no go, also im on a desktop not a laptop. After restarting my cursor is stuck in the center of my screen and i can only move it ysing my numpd keys yet i can still click

In regard to your DVD Rom drive - go to -control panel/device manager/DVD/CD-ROM drives -make a note of the make and model number Example: Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-215D ATA Device - highlight the device you have installed -press right mouse button-select properties-details-property and select Install Date from the drop down list and let us know this.

Windows 10 stuck on blank screen with mouse cursor at boot

Recently I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10. Everything installed and worked great for few weeks. After 2 or 3 weeks I can't boot to Windows 10 anymore.

The computer goes thru initial boot and before showing any windows 10 screens (no blue window, no dots etc) gets stuck on blank screen with blinking mouse cursor.

Per Microsoft engineer who responded to my previous post, I created windows 10 ISO disk. Booted from the disk, got thru the blue windows logo and dancing dots to a "Windows Setup" box with 2 options:

  1. Continue with the upgrade (I already upgraded successfully and everything worked for a while)
  
  2. Perform a clean installation
  

Continuing upgrade gets me back to blank screen with blinking cursor.

I didn't try option 2, clean installation, because I am afraid to loose all my programs etc.

I installed turbotax after upgrading to win 10, but I don't think turbotax is a problem. I have no problems at all after installing it on another win 10 computer.

Now I regret upgrading to windows 10. Windows 7 worked perfectly fine.

Any suggestions how to repair the windows 10?

Or is there a way to go back to windows 7 without full reinstall?
