Windows 10: Windows 10 multiple desktops – useless?

Hi,
I’ve been using Windows 10 now for a while and asking myself if it would be worth using the virtual desktops/workspaces feature. ([WIN] + [TAB])
I’m thinking of using it for different tasks at work.
First desktop work with my IDE and working on code: using the IDE, the browser and some other developer tools.
Second desktop I would probably work on some maintenance tasks like emails and documents work with outlook, browser, word.
And whenever someone enters my room I could setup a new desktop for the work to clarify his request.

That sounds nice, but a bit unrealistic, because – I would need as well on the third desktop the same applications and code to clarify the request. As well I would use another for working on the service desk tickets I have to handle.
So, windows would have to run the applications multiple times (consuming the resources) and keeping the state (if the application is even capable of doing this clean). Further If I work on the code and use the same code base on the other desktop – that would interfere with each other.
And the same applies to all other local resources.
Trying it right now it shows that I can’t even open an application a second time on a second desktop … ???

So, what is the benefit of having that feature? Are you suing it and how do you use it?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I would suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps:

• 
  Open multiple apps that you want.
  
• 
  Right click on the task bar.
  
• 
  From the jump menu select Show all windows side by side.
  

I also suggest you to run app troubleshooter and check if it helps.
