    Windows 10 network. An oddity.

I have gone to great lengths to set up this network of my 4 computers, checking all sorts of settings as directed by one of the consultants. All these appears ok at present. They were:

    1. relevant Windows services services to automatic
    2. ban IPv6#
    3. SMB 1.0 / CIFS on
    4. All in one Homegroup WORKGROUP
    5. discovery on and password off

    But.

I still cannot "see" most of the computers from the others as a computer. However, most of the time the other computers appear as media devices.

    What can i do?

    Thanks,

    peter vp

Click next/OK as required to complete installation. Repeat the steps for all Intel USB devices. Finally click on each USB root device and press DEL to delete it, reply YES when asked. After deleting all USB root devices restart the computer.

I hope this is detailed enough...

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .
