Windows 10: Windows 10, new install, version 1709, waiting for version 1809

Hello:


A few days ago I brought a new build online with Win 10, x-64, version 1709.

The new build is with up to date hardware including a Z390 mobo and i5 9600K CPU.

Computer is running fine except for a glitch with the front-panel USB ports.


Windows is activated and has received numerous updates but so far it is not updating to version 1809 or even 1803.


Is this a matter of just waiting my turn to get the update or is it stuck and needing a kick in the pants?

WMP for version 1809...


My Windows 10 N, version 1803 had used Windows Media Player via installing it from the "Windows_MediaFeaturePack_x64_1803.msu" file.

Updating to 1809 removed the WMP and no longer available in the apps list:





There's an updated version listed at:

But clicking on the link and looking for the 1809 in the drop down list of versions does not show the media feature pack available for download for 1809; instead it shows version 1709 and 1803.

Does anyone have a direct link to WMP for Windows 10 N, version 1809?

Unable to update Window 10 Pro version 1607 to version 1709

Have made several attempts to update Windows 10 version 1607 to the latest version 1709 and have not been successful.

I've done the following per some suggestions found online:

• Updated drivers
• Ran the Trouble Shooter for Windows 10 (Errors found were shown to be "Fixed" per the tool)
• Unplugged the printer
• Ran the DISM.exe

Although not at every attempt, I have received the following errors:

• 0xc1900101 - 0x30018
• 0x900704c7

Can someone please advise me as to what the errors are and provide me with the steps to update Windows.

Windows 10 version 1809 update

Hi Mike,

Because of a number of problem, the 1809 version of Windows 10 has been suspended and now isn't yet released. The best thing you can do is to rollback to 1803 version, waiting for the new launch of 1809.
