Windows 10: Windows 10 no recovery key - Using Dell Inspiron. Help needed!

After replacing the battery on my laptop Dell Inspiron touchscreen the machine won't boot -- asks for the Bitlocker recovery key it displays the ID. I have gone on the MS help and nothing works no copy saved to my MS account, paper copy or administrator copy - the machine came with preinstalled Dell set up etc. Is there another fix other than a factory reset presume I would lose all of the apps/software etc??? This is so frustrating. MS have found a way to lock me out of my own laptop!

Dell Inspiron 570 and Windows 10 Upgrade


Has anyone any experience of upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on a Dell Inspiron 570? I've visited the Dell site and it is not on the list of Dell computers that have been tested; in fact it specifically says that it will not be tested. The only advice given is a recommendation not to upgrade to Win 10, which may well be true but is not exactly much help in making a decision on whether to proceed or not!

I have just downloaded Windows 10 to a Dell Inspiron 546 with a Dell 810 All in One printer. The previous OS was Windows 7. I had downloaded Windows 10 because the Windows invitation assured me all was well for the download.

Having made the download I discover I can not print. The printer is listed in settings. It used to be the default device.

Can you advise the steps I should take?
