Windows 10: Windows 10 not communicating with W7

    Windows 10 not communicating with W7


    I have just purchased a W10 PC. I have a PC and laptop both running W7 and have these networked and can share files at will. I have spent hours trying to get the W10 PC to connect with these. I can see all three in the network but cannot acess the two W7 and am asked for network credentials. I have no idea how to do this and have tried several things from various forums but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
