Windows 10: Windows 10 not resuming from Sleep Mode

I have an Lenovo PC running Windows 10 successfully for many years. Recently going back 2 or 3 Windows updates ago, it stopped resuming from sleep mode by using my Space Bar. Now I have to restart Windows with the power button. I read many posted questions with similar concerns. I tried finding the keyboard setting information for sleep mode, but there's no longer a setting in Windows 10. I tried changing the power mode per some Q/As to shutdown = hibernate. No luck doing that, can't even select Hibernate as an option. I'm current on all Windows 10 and my Lenovo updates. This is frustrating as heck, having to reboot every time, that takes a lot of time. Hibernate no longer shows up as an option on my Shut Settings. Someone told me this is due to some Windows Security enhancements. What enhancement that be and how is it supposed to work?

Resuming Videos after Sleep Mode - Windows 10

Hi All,

I've just bought myself a new HP laptop running Windows 10. I've found that every time I try to resume a video after my laptop has gone into Sleep Mode, I cannot get it to play without restarting my computer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is wasting sooo much of my time.

Windows 10 Sleeps too soundly

Follow the below steps to disable sleep mode in Windows 10 and check if it helps.

Steps to completely disable sleep mode

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, and click on Settings.
• Click on System, and on Power & Sleep
• Now, under Sleep section, you will see two options:

• On battery power, PC goes to sleep after
• When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after

4. For both options, expand the drop-down menu and select Never.
