Windows 10: Windows 10 not sleeping properly & draining battery

So I had purchased an ASUS Q325UA laptop over the summer for school, but seem to be having some issues with it, specifically with windows. The two problems I am having are that

• #1 when I close the lid to sleep the laptop, at least 60-70% of the time, opening the lid does not turn the screen on, and neither does the power button. I actually have to hard shut down the laptop and turn it back on for it to work.
• And #2 the second sleep function is that when I do sleep my pc, and it does work, it continues to drain my computer as if the screen were almost on and the laptop was still running.

I have the "closing lid sleeps laptop" feature on so it's definitely something going on with windows 10.

I also make sure to keep all my drivers and Windows updates constantly as well.

even mine has a slow battery drain, using Win 8.1. Even when powered off, not in sleep or hibernate, but off. It still uses the battery to keep the clock going.
Turn off fast start, as suggested, hibernate over sleep as it uses less power, and if you aren't going to use it for several hours, shut it off.

Since a clean installation of Win 10 my laptop battery has begun to completely drain overnight when in sleep or hibernate modes. It is ok when powered off so I suspect the battery is ok.

Any suggestions?

Sleep Mode has never been efficient. In all my years of using laptops, I've always just turned them off and on. Battery drain is normal for sleep mode. Some people have had issues with the laptops not powering off completely and draining the battery, but if that's your issue, there is an easy fix. You turn off Fast Startup and check a setting in Device Management under Intel Management Engine.
