Windows 10: Windows 10 October Update stopped.

I updated on the October 2nd, and so far I did not discover any problems. No documents have been deleted but I am not yet through with my checks. If it had been so, I have at least two back-ups from which I can restore deleted files. However, MS completely stopped the release until it can figure out what happened. My question: what will happen to all those, who already updated? Can I assume that I am ok, if I cannot discover any deletions? Will everyone, who already updated get a revised version? These are only a few questions which arise as a consequence of a failed update by MS.


One more thing. How could this happen anyways? Aren't there any tests anymore before a release. In my opinion, it shows a lot of sloppiness at MS, not to say that MS does not care. This is a case for that the CEO should have a clear and unbiased answer very soon.

That doesn't stop windows update from grabbing them on next run, at least it didn't back in the RTM days. It simply stops a secondary process from installing them immediately.

• Click "Device Installation Settings"
• Tick the "No, let me choose what to do"

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
