Windows 10: Windows 10 offline map download extremely slow

Greetings, I had posted this problem once before on my windows feedback hub, but I just posted few minutes ago, answers were 1 month ago,

that was really weird, I didnt know what happened so I post again at here.


Im trying to download some offline maps in settings, it started, but downloading very slowly, this happens on both two of my networks, download speed is about 1 to 3 mbps.


I have searched for this problem on google, but those solutions dont work, I have updated all my drivers, used cmd sfc /scannow, but all of those things dont work.


Windows 10 professional 20H2 version, with all things up to date.


My laptop is mainly for gaming, so I havent installed many apps, only games, steam, ubisoft connect, windscribe vpn, itunes, internet download manager and chrome.


I dont have speed issue on other download task like update, download from browser.


Im using Asus TUF Gaming FX705DT, laptop, all drivers installed from asus website, except my integrated graphic driver is from amd.

Disable Offline Map downloads and updates


Yeah, that disables the auto download and update....which is good. I'm trying to take it a step further by greying out the options for offline maps altogether.

With that GPO set users can still manually download...

 

NO Maps Offline

Hi FrancoTerracciano,

Follow these steps on how to use Offline Maps:

1. Download maps before you go offline. Then later, search for places and get directions in the Maps app, even without Internet access.
   
2. On your Windows 10 PC or phone, select Settings
   > Apps, and then choose
   Offline maps.
3. Select Download maps and follow the instructions.
4. On Start
   , select Maps to search for places and get directions on the downloaded maps.

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you are unable to download offline maps. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer
  Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
  
• Were you able to download offline maps earlier?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
  

I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article

Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store and see if that helps.
