    Windows 10 only redirecting WSD printer using LPT1.Printer: Brand new, HP LaserJet MFP M227-M231Client: Windows 10 pro -> RDP -> to Windows 10 pro.Client printer will "ONLY" redirect on "LPT1" Jobs spools to que and sits there on client print que.Switch port to "WSD" on client, Spooled jobs automatically start printing but redirect disappears.Every type of update has been done including SFC on host.Any Ideas?Blnukem

    Can I use USB for LPT1?

    Hi, Peter. The reply that explains how to redirect to LPT1? I don't want to use LPT1. I want to use USB001 or -002. But those choices don't appear in the list of ports--even though I have two USB ports on this computer. Fwiw, in Windows 2007, I could plug/play
    this printer on a standard USB port.

    Windows 10 PDF Printer

    Use the Add Printer utility in Control Panel, Devices and Printers

    Select The Printer is not listed, Local Printer (last option), you will need to point it to Lpt1 at this stage.

    Select Microsoft on the left side and you will find PDF printer on the right, follow the steps through.

    Once the Printer is installed open its properties, select Port and change it from Lpt1 to PORTPROMPT

    Windows 10 only redirecting WSD printer using LPT1

    Asus P5QSE2 and LPT1

    I just purchased the board and I need an LPT1 for an older HP 4000 laser printer .
    Board does not have an LPT1 so I bought a PCI e card that has a parallel port and 2 COM ports.
    Problem I have is ... HP printer can't be seen by the device manager.
    What do I have to do in order to use my HP. I do not have a network card installed in the printer and I can't buy one.... price and age of printer.

    Any advice?
