Windows 10: Windows 10 OS using 28 GB of storage

Windows 10 OS using 28 GB of storage. How can I clean up old windows 10 files. I believe Windows 10 should need 16 GB of storage

Not enough storage space - 28 GB SSD

Somehow I'm having a major storage catastrophe!

As a result I wished to start fresh by resetting my pc.

Yet somehow I have less than 1 GB remaining on my main drive.

Reset this PC tells me I need an additional 4.95 GB.

I am using the Dell Inspiron 11-3162 laptop, preinstalled with Windows 10, running version 10.0. 14393 Build 14393

My laptop has a 29 GB SSD.

I went to storage usage ( Start>Settings>System>Storage>This PC)

and found that:

27.6 used out of 29.1 GB

System and Reserved 21.5 GB

Temporary Files 4.71 GB

Apps and Games 2.26 GB

Documents 152 KB

Pictures 6.36 MB

Videos 0 Bytes

Other Files 33.5 MB

I looked for any large apps or games but found that they're only in the 71 MB - 129 MB range. Only one program is 129 MB

So 129 MB

108 MB

72 MB

52 MB

51 MB

47 MB

40 MB

28 MB

with a few lower values just doesn't add up.

I'm so confused. This doesn't make any sense. I've deleted all previous versions of Windows as well...

I've backed-up my files on another device and deleted them off my hard drive. I wish to reset this pc yet I don't even have enough space to do that. I've looked all over the forums trying all sorts of things; free up space, storage manager, uninstalling
programs, getting rid of everything, making windows 10 installation media and putting it on a USB flash drive to reinstall windows through pressing F12 or F2 at boot up, all efforts have
failed.

What should I do?

 

64Gb SSD for OS or 2Tb HDD for storage ?!

I suggest that you get the 2tb for storage. SSDs are only useful if you want to boot things fast like OS and programs. I actually suggest you get both if you have that many movies.
