Windows 10: windows 10 password failure

I recently upgraded to windows 10 from 8.1 and was pleased with the smooth change over. But, my pc has locked and no password works!
Administrator password doesn't work. Even in safe mode it asks for a password and that doesn't work either! I've tried several "fixes" on this site but so far nothing works. By the way, I don't have a password reset disk nor the cd for windows 10 since this was an Internet upgrade. Can anybody help?

Windows is not hibernating + Account password deleted

My Laptop doesn't hibernate at times. The screen turns off but the laptop doesn't. It also heats up a lot.

Recently, my sign-in password was also automatically removed. It said that I haven't set a password.

I'm running an Acer Laptop with windows 10.

Updated windows 10 , computer rebooted tried to log in says incorrect password

I updated windows 10 , computer rebooted tried to log in says incorrect password. I used download no cd. Originally set Microsoft live acct as login then changed to local user, updated now password error. Is there a way to change back to live acct?
IF not how can I fix password error? If nothing else is the a way to roll back to win 7?

Did you use a Hotmail or another email account? If so get on another computer and reset the password.

Thanks Bunnyj! I set up under gmail. Will that matter?

 

It shouldn't. Just get on another PC and reset the password. That should fix the issue.
