Windows 10: windows 10 password reset

my mother was contacted by scammers who presented themselves as Comcast specialists and granted them a remote access to her computer. They did not get much from her files at least i hope but they changed her password and security questions. Is there any way to reset the password without resetting the whole windows installation? Also my mother does not have Windows 10 disk and she cannot recall who installed or reinstalled the operating system on her computer last. Thank you.
