    Windows 10 PC stuck at 4K 30 hz


    I have an HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC with 64 bit Windows 10 and Sharp 32" 60 hz HDTV as screen.

    Today, I was checking display settings, and accidentally switched from 1080p 60hz to 4K 30 hz. Then I switched back to 1080p 60hz, but the TV resolution is still 4K 30 hz. I tried to change to different HDMI port but that didn't work. Also other devices, such as my laptop and NES Mini Classic have the 1080p 60 hz resolution working, but my desktop is stuck at 4K 30 hz.

    Any suggestions what should I do to get back to 1080p 60 hz?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Netflix App on Windows 10 - No 4K

    Hello all,

    I just bought a new laptop and downloaded the netflix app but I can't get 4k playback, just HD. I've listed the steps below I've taken to trouble shoot and my configuration too.

    Configuration/Troubleshooting:

    Razer Blade Advanced 15 with Windows 10 (all current updates installed)

    NVIDIA GeForce 2080 Q Max (all current drivers installed)

    4K OLED Screen

    Resolution set to 3840x2160 at 60 Hz

    HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer is installed

    I have an Ultra HD plan with video playback set to High

    My internet speed is ~500 Mb/s

    I don't have the old edge browser anymore so I can't check it on that

    Please help!!!

    Does Miracast support 4K?

    Hello,

    We suggest that you check with the manufacturer of the 4k display device that you are using if it is certified to work with Miracast. If your display device is certified to work with Miracast, then check if your PC device supports Miracast. You may do so
    by following the steps below:

    • Click Start, then go to Settings >
      Projecting to this PC      .
    • Check if your device supports Miracast.
