  3. Not sure if I need to start another thread for this but I have used EASEUS Disk imaging software for all of my copies. If I apply the shutdown batch file within the C: drive and use the .\administrator account with multiple tasks for the shutdown batch files with PC name ES-TEST-PC-01 for my image and then change the pc name for each copied drive for ES-(room)-PC-01 which is how its managed within our Active directory will it make a difference if I change the PC name, will it still run the task with the old pc name once I change it?

This picture may help the confusion I might have caused:

Reason why I ask is because if I could make this file run or at least try to run anytime its on throughout the night I could just add it to this one PC here and copy the image and go rename the pc according to room and add in our domain then activate win 10 and office 16 and then be done with it which would be nice.

essenbe, when I first seen this thread I thought that would fix the problems, went to the pc and check and on all users it was already disabled. So something else is causing this...

Am I correct in that you have disabled Fast Startup in the OS of the machines?

Maybe check Scheduled Tasks and see if there may be one that is causing you problems, or you may be able to schedule one to solve it.

  6. I did disable fast startup, I checked my scheduled tasks and set them to perform during the middle of the day, when I seen it still didn't work, I disabled all of them besides my shutdown batch file.

Just one more thought and I'll quit bothering you. Could it be a wake up setting in BIOS? I know with Dell you have limited settings, but just a thought. Or could it be a server side setting?

Also in the FWIW department, my Sister teaches computers in a small private school. All of the computers started shutting down at the same time every day. After a lot of hair pulling and investigation, it was found that one of the students had decided to play a joke on one of his friends in the next period. He ran a batch code to shut down the computer at a certain time. All of his friends thought that was cool, so they did the same thing. It took a lot of what you are doing to figure out what was going on. BTW, that student who started it happened to be her Grandson.

  9. Oh wow! Ill check the BIOS and our Server 2008 R2 but its never done this with Windows 7 before we reimaged into Windows 10. So the BIOS wouldn't have changed, ill still give it a look though. Thanks for your help, essenbe.

Are you sure your PCs are really shut down, not sleeping or in hibernation?

  11. Hey dalchina, I really think there was an option that has really messed up this image. My win. 10 pc at home and at work doesn't power on its self. I made a new image and have put it in the classroom and its doing as it should. Might just have to disk image this copy I have here this summer to make a solid Windows 10 image. Thanks for the help I'm sure there is a weird configuration somewhere.
