    Windows 10 PIN problems

Hey guys I hope this is an appropriate place to ask this, if its not I apologize. I have ran windows 10 on my custom built pc since it came out. Ive enjoyed the OS for the most part but this has pretty well made me hate it. A couple months ago out of the blue after years of never seeing this before, I was told something along the lines of my organization required that I changed my pin. I did this and tried to find a way to disable it but didn't care too much about it, then my laptop did it. Then my desktop did it again not a month later. And again shortly after. And that last time it didn't accept my pin because it had said I had reused one previously. And then it wouldn't let me set any pin at all, and I got on to the pc by signing in to my Microsoft account, but then I forgot to ever go and change my pin once it was on. I reset it today to go into the bios and do some overclocking(not my first time either so I didnt do something wrong) and when I booted back up to w10, it only gave me the option to "set up my pin" no way to bypass it so I tried. And it said I didn't have internet, even though I very much did. I nearly had to reset my pc to get it to let me back on, but before I did that I did a system restore point and got in using my Microsoft password afterwards.

What happened here? Why did my computer, after years of having my pin, decide that my "organization" required me to change it? And why did it suddenly not like any combination of numbers I put in for a pin? And why did it suddenly say I had no internet when I did while trying to set it up?

I know this is a lot of questions but im ready to back up my data, wipe my drives, and install Linux and be done with windows because as im writing this is when im finally getting back into my desktop, and it has put such a distaste in my mouth for windows that I dont wanna even try to fool with it anymore.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows 10 PIN Sign-in

    Hi Pat,

It is possible that the PIN set in an earlier build does not work after reinstalling Windows 10. To better assist you, we'd like clarify few things:

    • Which build and version of Windows 10 is installed on your computer?
    • Which build and version of Windows 10 are you using before reinstalling Windows?
    • Have you tried resetting your PIN?
    • Did you get any error messages after you verified the PIN you entered?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you follow the steps in this
    article
on how you can reset your PIN.

Keep us posted if you need additional help.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
