Windows 10: Windows 10 - Prevent New Album Art from Downloading to Music Folder

Hi, this question was already asked but the technicians did not establish a solution.


Why, after every time I pay any music file, Windows Media Player downloads more music information? I delete the albumart.jpg and the folder.jpg repeatedly.


In fact I delete these unwanted files so many times I think it's time Microsoft started paying me for my time in addressing their problems.



How do you STOP Windows Media Player from TOUCHING the internet? Why do you force a program to go online when there is -zero- use for it?


Please help me disable Windows Media Player both from downloading voluntary information and from connecting to the internet at all.

Yes, ALL BOXES ARE UNCHECKED. Not 'some' boxes.... ALL BOXES are UNCHECKED.


So why are you still downloading stuff?

N97 Album Art.

I think WMP stores the album art in the folder with the music files but does not embed the album art in the actual file. iTunes does something similar but stores the album art in a database instead of in a flat file structure.



Just to make it clear, the problem is that the album art is not embedded in the music files.



There are several things that you can do:

• Load the album art onto the phone as images and link these to each album (not ideal as it requires quite a bit of work and the images need to remain on the phone and in the same location)
• Google "embed album art mp3" and download an application that can embed the album art.
• Import your music into iTunes, add the album art, and the convert to AAC (iTunes Plus) format which embeds the album art.

Groove Music - How to add art to album or artist

How To Change Album Art

• Open up Groove Music.
• Click on an album
• Somewhere on the top, you will find 3 dots placed horizontally. Click on it.
• Click "Edit Info".
• Then click the box with the pencil on the corner.
• Done.

• Right click on a song.
• Click "Edit Info".
• Fill in the boxes (They will say Unknown Artist or Unknown Album)
• Then you will see the songs in an album (If you press Album on the side of Groove Music.
• Done.

Adding Album Art to your music keeps things organized in your music library. We suggest following the steps below in order to add Album Art to your music files:

• Look for an Album Art for your music and save it to your computer.
  
• Right-click the album art image and select Copy from the context menu.
• Open Windows Media Player and go to the Album stab.
• Search for the album you want to add the Album Art to.
• Right-click on the album and select Paste Album Art to add Album Art to the track.
