Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro Build 17134.rs4 180410-1804 Installs Updates During Active Hours

Good day support.


It is not the first time this happens in my computer, that during the day (Active hours) I have programs running in the background, programs that take hours to render, programs that analyze data that take hours to produce a reconciliation document and all interrupted because of windows restarting the computer.


While I can't find all the right words to describe the frustration and the helplessness derived from Microsoft's actions, I can tell you this:

• I have gone thru the documentation to set Active hours
• I have marked my connection metered
• I am updated policies to prevent restarting the computer

And the computer reboots to finish installing updates, and not only this; I sometimes read "Windows is undoing changes due to failed updates."


Windows attempts to open all my previous programs. However, it cannot resume the work done from all of them.


Can someone please assist in disabling updates for good?


I want to do the following:

• Be in control of my computer
• Decide when I am installing updates
• Choose if any security patches or hotfixes are installed or not
• keep my programs from breaking because of untested updates
• I do not need the latest and greatest, much less the shiniest windows, I want windows to work and let me work
• if my computer is at risk and I can lose work, it is my responsibility, and it is my consequence if I fail to address updates, however, I want to control this.

Can someone reach out and assist me with a definite solution?

Windows 10 Build 10.0.17134 Changelog:​Build 17134 was the 23rd Insider Preview build of Windows 10 released after Fall Creators Update. It was released on April 16, 2018. This new build arrived via new "RS4" (RedStone4) development branch.

Windows 10 1803 (RS4 Build) Keeps Freezing

Hi,

I have found another issue with Windows 10 Pro 1803 (RS4) Build and I have only had this issue on another pc in my home which keeps freezing on the Windows 10 Pro 1803 (RS4) Build after Communitive Update KB4284848. This is affecting
me by using this new version of Windows 10.

I think Microsoft might need to release a Update for this issue.

Also Microsoft needs to ask some customers what they rate their build of Windows 10 1803 (RS4) Build.

Windows 10 Pro N installing Media Features Pack (build 1804)

Hello,

I have windows 10 Pro N, build 1804 installed on my PC. I'm trying to connect my Android phone as MTP device. From what I understood I need to install Media Feature, however I'm unable to find a version which will install correctly on my system (from the
list
here>> the highest number is 1803)

Where can I find the correct package?
