  1. Windows 10 Pro deactivated itself after updates

Hello. After updating windows to the latest version, my copy of Windows 10 Pro has deactivated itself.

Before the update, this problem did not occur, and it was activated.

It is not "already used on another device" because this IS the device i used it on. This key was bought and did not come preinstalled.

  2. Windows 10 deactivated itself after update

I bought the windows Pro last year and the code is valid until the recent windows update and now this is showing that my Windows is deactivated.

Please help. I followed the steps and tried to call the phone number that shows up when you search using the
SLUI 04 and there seems to be a dead number and the call does not go through.

This product key was on the back of windows 10 Pro DVD that i bought and shamefully now windows says that this key is not for Windows 10 pro. how is this possible?

Please suggest steps to get this resolved. other than the ones you already mentioned here.

    Thank you.

Windows 10 Pro deactivated itself after updates

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.
