    Windows 10 Pro - Installing four separate feature updates.


    In a business environment, had an AV that was holding Windows 10 updates. Uninstalled the AV software completely and now Windows Update can download what it needs to, however, Windows is trying to download and install four separate Feature updates 1903, 1909, 2004, and 20H2. All of these error out after hours and have provided different error codes 0x80240fff, 0xc1900131.

    I have tried downloading the latest build 20H2 from the Microsoft site and update the computer via Windows 10 Update Assistant https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and ran it twice. Both times the Update Assistant failed around 60%.

    Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

    Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

    I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.
