    Windows 10 Pro is Not booting - Bad System Config Info - Stopcode


    My HP Probook is not booting after latest windows update. It is stuck at the BSOD with message regarding 'BAD SYSTEM CONFIG INFO' windows.com/stopcode.

    I have tried following option which did not resolve the issue:


    • all options of recovery: Resetting without 'keep files' option, system restore, uninstalling last installed updates, . I got the error 'there was some error'.


    • Using a bootable USB for Windows 10 March update (got from Microsoft site), used all fixing options of bootrec in the command prompt tool. The commands were executed successfully.help article


    • Tried booting into Safemode, but it just remains stuck at the Windows loading Splash screen

    Is there any way to fix this? Also, the OS (Win7 Pro) came preinstalled (had consequently upgraded to Windows 10 pro via Windows Update) & do not have any recovery disks.

    STOPCODE Blue Screen of death Bad config

    Got this from nowhere and with no warning

    Will not reset. Will not retore

    BAD SYSTEM CONFIG INFO is the stopcode

    Is there anywhere to go from here? Dell Inspiron 11 with Windows 10.

    Bad system config info and failure to launch windows 10

    Windows 10 on a Dell XPS about 1.5 yrs old

    turned machine on and got the Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart; bad system config info.

    Went through the multiple suggestions to fix, repair or restore but none of them were successful. Seemed to get a consistent response that a problem was encountered and therefore no the problem couldn’t be resolved.

    Under troubleshoot attempted the prompt command option. The message under the Microsoft Windows [version 10.0.17134.1] said not enough resources available to process this command.

    I found a video on youtube to address the bad system config info issue and followed the steps as presented.

    After going through that process my system still won’t boot up.

    there apprared to be enough free space on C.
