Windows 10: Windows 10 pro logs me out every 5 minutes

I just bought a new laptop and it will kick me out to login after 5 minutes of inactivity. I have tried everything to stop this that I can find on google.


In power plan every single option is set to "never" sleep. In the additional settings I have it set to never turn off display or go to sleep then under the advanced options: sleep after never, system unattended sleep timeout 10000 minutes, Allow hybrid sleep off, hibernate after never, etc.


The screensaver seems to be the buggy part. By default it is set to turn on after 5 minutes and if I increase that number it doesn't save the settings. If I decrease then my computer will sleep according to whatever I set. I've tried some of the online tips about setting group policies or changing it in the registry and this will work to show a larger number in the screen saver box (currently set to 15000 minutes, but 10 minutes also fails), but no matter what it sleeps after 5 minutes.


I've never experienced anything like this with a windows product, the computer is substantially less useful for me if I can't control this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows 10 Pro freeze after 5-10 minutes after rebooting


Hi everybody.
I've installed clean Windows 10 Pro (eMachines e732).
After 5-10 minutes of work it starts to be irresponsible:

• browser doesn't load pages (infinite loading) but still can create new tabs.
• start menu doesn't open.
• windows explorer does not open on 'win+e' key.
• task manager is not opening.

Please advice how to fix the issue. What details should I provide to investigate the problem?

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
