Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro OEM Upgrade Fail

Good day, Community. The details of my post are very strange, but here goes. I have a Toshiba Z70-A laptop PC that I upgraded to Windows 10 Home via Microsoft's free digital license upgrade. I recently serviced the laptop by swapping both SSD drives into their opposite drive bays. My data drive was in Disc 0 position; my system drive in Drive 1 position. I just wanted to place each drive where they should be placed. When I booted the PC, I received the "No bootable device - restart the system" message. I tweaked around in the boot menu, but nada. So I moved each drive back to their l

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

This error may be due to an invalid product key. However, you can try the steps provided in these articles:

• How to Verify If You Downloaded or Installed the Latest Version Windows 10.
• Upgrade Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro.

If you still get the error message after following the steps in the articles, we suggest that you contact the product key distributor to request for a new one.

Windows 10 Home Upgrade to Pro using OEM Disc and key

I have the same problem. I have a Windows 10 Pro OEM key and can't enter it directly to force the upgrade.

I read that even if I follow your suggestion, I won't be able to activate the Win 10 Pro (obtained via your easy upgrade method) with my OEM key.

Can you confirm that the OEM key will work to activate the Windows 10 Pro obtained via easy upgrade?
