Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro Screen Saver Does Not Work After Update 10.0.19041 Build 19041 Version 2004

I have tried several settings to the standard screen saver choices including the time before the screen saver starts, but none of the screen savers will ever start. It doesn't matter what screen saver is specified 3D Test, Blank, Bubbles, etc. nor how long the Wait time is set 1 minute, 2 minutes, etc.. The Preview button will invoke the screen saver, but no matter how long I wait with inactivity of the keyboard, mouse, etc. it will never start the screen saver. This worked properly before update to Version 2004.


I have uninstalled Updates for Microsoft Windows KB4565503 and/or KB4565627, and the problem still exists. I have also uninstalled an Adobe Flash Player update KB4561600 and the problem still exists.


I am unable to uninstall SECURITY Updates for Microsoft Windows KB4566785, KB4560366, or KB4557968 all recently installed. It seems the issues lies with one or more of these SECURITY updates.


Is this a known bug? Is there an ETA on a solution to this bug? If ANY additional information is needed please let me know or contact me separately and I will be more than willing to provide you with that information.


A secondary bug was also introduced seemingly with the same Security Updates - I cannot get Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to launch, whether I open via a PDF file or open the app directly as Admin or not.

Screen saver no longer works after updating to Creator's Update

How long does the 2004 upgrade take using Windows Update?

I updated one of my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit computers via the Windows Update app from Version 1909 Build 18363 to Version 2004 Build 19041.

It went through the "Getting things ready" and "Downloading" and "Installing" and "Working on updates" steps and involved 2 restarts.

The entire update process took 84 minutes.

There are personalized and other settings I need to re-do, and device drivers I need to re-update.

That will add at least another hour to the process.
