Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro Security and How to save Word document as pdf or export.... having more...

First I like to know if the built in security ie virus protection firewall within the Windows 10 computer I just bought is sufficient and if so why would you all sell the MSWin10 Pro. Also I purchased the word prescription and am unhappy with it so far it makes you keep logging in to use it and the font is somehow set on 9.5 when reading learning how to use certain features not sure but you all have made it more difficult than needed to access. Really confusing but trying to see if its worth it - whatever assistance you can provide will be much appreciated or will try to get my money back. And I am computer literate at least my Win 7 is still in good shape. Please don't destroy windows 7 and make it obsolete like you all do to force us to have to purchase your newer more complicated software. Its bad when you all have to charge us now for these apps which were once part of the entire system.


First let me know if Win 10 Pro is required and if so why?

Saving a word document as PDF

Hi, I have created a document in word, but would like to save it in PDF. When I click "save as", there is PDF option in the drop down. I have tried downloading a converter from Google, but it changes my settings when converting. Any suggestions on how
to get it into my drop down options please?

Steps to Convert MS Word Document to PDF Format (Windows & Mac)

Windows:

At first, open the MS Word file that you want to convert to PDF. After that, click on the File tab, that is at the upper section of the window. Next, select Export. Mac:

Launch the MS Word file at first. Next, click on the File tab that is at the top section of the window. After that, click on the "Save As" option under the menu. Now, edit the file name and then select a location where you want to Save. Also, drop-down the menu for File Format, and under the available options select PDF. Lastly, click on the Export button.

Change Word Document to PDF via Google Drive

Open Google Drive. If you are not signed in to your Google Account then enter the details for that to continue the process. Now, at the left-hand side of the Google Drive window you will see New with an additional symbol, click on it. After that, select the "File upload" option from the menu, and then select the Word document by navigating to its location. Further, click on the Open button. When the file gets uploaded, open the Word document. Next, click on File, and then hit on the "Download as" option. Lastly, select PDF Document (.pdf) to complete the task.

 

How to save a scanned document as PDF

There are some options that you can do to save the scanned documents to PDF file. You may follow these steps:

• Copy the scanned document.
• Open Word, then paste it.
• Click File > Save As > Choose the location where you want to save it.
• On Save as type, choose PDF > Save.
