Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro transfer to new laptop

I did a stupid thing with my laptop that I purchased from Best Buy store open box laptop. I purchased a windows 10 pro license before I knew it has enterprise... never expected it to have enterprise, but it did.


So I used pro for a few months and now I have a new laptop as a gift from someone, can i revert my old pc back to enterprise, and use the pro license on my new pc?

Transfer Windows 10 pro from old laptop to new laptop

Well the old laptop had Windows 8 pro then Windows 8.1 pro, and now 10 pro, I want to transfer my Windows 10 pro from my old laptop to this new laptop, so whats my luck on being able to do that??

Unfortunately, because the laptop came 'preinstalled' with Windows 10 Pro, it cannot be transferred because it is OEM licenses. Only retail licenses have transfer rights.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
