Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro Update 2004 Disables Windows System Image Backup

Windows 10 Pro update 2004 causes Windows System Image to not work. After installing Windows 10 Update 2004, attempting to create a System Image Backup brings up the dialog box: “Where do you want to save the backup” and backup then fails displaying another dialog box with the text:
“Windows could not find backup devices on this computer. The following information might explain why this problem occurred:
0x81000036

Close Windows Backup and try again.”


At the time I attempted to create a System Image Backup there were at least 5 backup devices available with a combined storage capacity of 15TB, and my System Disc is a 250GB SSD.


The below blog suggested disabling Microsoft Defender Application Guard and also Windows Sandbox, which I had previously disabled. I found that disabling Sandbox only did not fix this issue, I also had to disable Microsoft Defender Application Guard:

Pls fix this bug Microsoft as it's very annoying and caused me much work cause my PC crashed and would not boot; and my only recourse was to restore from a system image backup that was last saved weeks before that problem occurred, causing me to lose a week's work.

Also when I used Control Panel to disable Microsoft Defender Application Guard, Windows asked me why I disabled this feature; so I submitted My Feedback to Microsoft Community describing the above work-around solution.
