Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro Update Error 0x80080005 and "Windows Security" Options on Settings Won't Show

Hi. Good day every one! Here is my concern:

I am using a Windows 10 Pro OS. Every time I try to update my computer through the “Windows Update” option found in settings, it says"There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: 0x80080005". I have tried this several times for almost a month now or more but every time I try to update; it still shows the same message.



I have also tried running the “Windows Update” troubleshooter but it does not detect the problem.





I tried the Windows 10 media creation tool from https://www.microsoft.com , and tried both option “Update Now” and “Download Tool Now”and then installed update but it did not fix the problem.

Another thing that I noticed is that I cannot view the "Windows Security" options on my settings which used to show the Windows defender, firewall, and PC scan options. It just shows this when I click “Windows Security”:

And when I click “Open Windows Security” nothing shows up but this:



Just a blank security page. I am not sure if the two problems are related but they came out the same time. Hoping I can get some assistance on this. Thank you very much. Have a great day.

Windows 10 download speed issues

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.

 

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
